The Laird of Fintry Rum Barrel Whisky is our award-winning single malt featuring a Martinique Rhum Cask Finish.

Crafted from 100% Canadian malted barley, this rum barrel, double-wood Laird is for the seafaring whisky lover. With a hat tip to BC’s coastal heritage, this fine grog exudes generous waves of caramelized plum, winter-spice, and sticky-rum-pudding.

Aged for a full 8 years, starting with the first 5 years new use custom white oak barrels, the liquid gold is then transferred for another 3 years into freshly imported Rhum Agricole barrels from the Caribbean island of Martinique. (photo below)

Our Admiral of a single-malt is to be sipped slowly with your crew, allowing the fruit undertones and toasted oak to gently roll across your palate. Let your senses experience the exceptional while you lift a glass to toast the Laird’s swashbuckling twin. 42% Alc/Vol

Our single malt whiskies are the foundation that western Canada’s whisky renaissance was built upon. Grown under the stewardship of our expert agrologist, using only ethical and sustainable growing practices; our barley is born and raised in the fertile soil of our north Okanagan glacial till, to ensure a truly terroir specific profile. To our family, terroir is at the heart of everything we do, and that’s why our whiskies are as linked to the local environment as our very own family heritage.

After harvest from our local fields, the barley is then custom malted prior to being milled, mashed, fermented, and double-distilled in our state-of-the-art copper pot flavour stills. This adherence to a local profile continues through its maturation in our virgin-use, custom toasted and charred white oak casks, that are housed in our barrelhouse where the climate freely fluctuates with the seasons.
