Ingredients
- Laird of Fintry Single Malt whisky 40 ml
- Coffee 45 ml
- Creme de Cacao 15 ml
- Spiced Honey Rum 10 ml
- Fernet Branca 5 ml
- Simple Syrup 15 ml
Instructions
- Like a lot of cocktails out there, this was inspired by After Eights, because I bloody love mint chocolate. Using a Single Malt as its base with a touch of the spiced rum I used before to add some allspice, cinnamon and anise into the background. a little Fernet goes a very long way so a simple barspoon was plenty, some creme de cacao and coffee, a home made caramel web garnish with a piece of mint chocolate and there we go, an espresso martini riff that's as elegant as it is tasty. The caramel came out a lot better this time too, still took me a couple tries to get it to come out nice and thick and easy to work with, but playing around with it is becoming quite fun, and I love the look of it on a drink.
