PROOF: Port Cask Finished Single Malt Whisky 58% 2026-001-2
For the first time in our Proof program, members were able to experience the same whisky at two different alcohol percentage levels. For this, we chose single casks from our barrelhouse of our double-wood, black sage vineyards pipe (port) finished “Red Label” Laird of Fintry single malt whisky. Each member will received one bottle from each cask. This is the expression that was bottled at 58% ABV.
The Red-Label Laird of Fintry is traditionally presented at 42% ABV and boasts a distinct red colour compared to typical whisky releases – achieved by filling Okanagan pipe (port) barrels within hours of being emptied, not allowing oxidization to run its usual course. This elegantly bold expression unveils waves of candied stone fruit, cacao-dusted cherries, and slow-toasted oak, creating a rich and complex tasting experience.
This release celebrates whisky making in wine country, showcasing this striking flavour profile in ways that few will ever experience.
