Rye isn’t easy. The grain is notoriously tricky to work with, and the result? A spirit that’s not a “beginner whisky.” It’s a slow burn, a love that grows with every sip. That’s why you’ll often spot Okanagan Spirits Rye Whisky gracing the top shelf of a true connoisseur’s collection. In fact, it’s so exceptional that it brought home a gold medal at the 2020 World Spirits Awards in Europe—a nod to its world-class quality.
What sets us apart goes beyond the grain. While many distilleries lean on used barrels, we take a different path. We custom-craft virgin white oak casks for our rye whisky. Yes, it drives up our production costs—dramatically—but we wouldn’t have it any other way. That fresh oak interacts with the rye in a way that’s pure magic, coaxing out flavors you won’t find anywhere else. “It has a warmth and spice to it like a good Indian meal that warms you up from the inside,” says Tyler Dyck, our CEO.
In a time when trade wars test our resolve, we’re proud to stand tall with a whisky that’s as Canadian as the Rockies. Okanagan Spirits Rye Whisky isn’t just a drink—it’s a declaration. Boldly complex, defiantly rye, and crafted with unwavering care, it’s the spirit of Canada in every glass. So here’s to the connoisseurs, the curious, and the unapologetically Canadian—raise a dram with us and taste the difference.
