Bourbon vs Bourbon Blind Whisky Challenge by Gentleman's Flavor

Call it what you want, but taste tells the truth!
We may not be able to call it bourbon due to NAFTA, but our BRBN just proved that Canadian distillers can craft bourbon every bit as bold, smooth, and exceptional—if not better!

Honoured to take the TOP SPOT IN A BLIND TASTE TEST against leading US Bourbons and Canadian Bourbon-Style whiskies. Cheers to Canadian craftsmanship and just being CANADIAN!

THE GENTLEMAN’S FLAVOR BLIND WHISKY CHALLENGE NO. 7:
BOURBON vs BOURBON-STYLE
We recently put 7 US bourbon whiskeys and 7 Canadian bourbon-style whiskies to the test in our latest *Blind Challenge.
Selected and randomized by a third party, the samples were assessed and rated until a winner was ultimately crowned.
A big congratulations goes out to Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery in British Columbia, Canada for their BLK BRBN (52% ABV) which came out on top of the 14 whisky field. 🏆

These results suggest that many Canadian bourbon-style whiskies can hold their own against their US counterparts, and with bourbon having been recently removed from the shelves of most liquor stores across Canada due to the current tariff war it is fantastic there is a high-quality alternative for those who enjoy bourbon.

Bourbon is America’s native spirit, and is made from a mash bill of 51% corn or higher resting in new white American oak for a minimum of 2 yrs. It can be called bourbon provided that it is distilled anywhere in the USA.
In Canada however, whisky is often distilled in a “bourbon-style”, meaning that it is made in the same manner that American distilleries do. To comply with American law, Canadian distillers often assign their creations with names that are a derivative or association of the word “bourbon”.
