The Bitter End

Ingredients

  • Okanagan Spirits Taboo Absinthe 1 fl oz
  • Cointreau 0.5 fl oz
  • Fresh Lemon Juice 0.5 fl oz
  • Fresh Orange Juice 0.5 fl oz
  • Fresh Egg White 0.5 fl oz
  • Simple Syrup 0.25 fl oz
  • Campari 0.25 fl oz
  • 1 Star Anise Pod 1

Instructions

  1. Pour the Lemon Juice, Orange Juice and Egg White into a cocktail shaker, and dry shake the mixture until well combined
  2. Add Taboo Absinthe, Cointreau and Simple Syrup, and ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass.
  3. Carefully pour Campari down the side of the glass (it should sink to the bottom). Garnish with a floating Star Anise pod on top.
  4. **To Make Simple Syrup: bring equal parts water and sugar to a boil, remove from heat immediately and chill.
